Equipment

  • A chopping board
  • A vegetable peeler
  • A sharpened knife
  • Bowl
  • Air fryer

Ingredients

  • 5 carrots medium size
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic crushed or powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon sisracha powder
  • 2 tablespoon mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Wash and using a vegetable peeler, peel your carrots.
  • Grad your cutting board, cut the carrots into sticks (of about 2 inches long): cut the carrot in half, lenghth wise, and cut each half in thirds.
  • In a large bowl, toss everything.
  • In your air fryer basket, place a layer of carrot fries (half this batch) and close your lid or drawer depending on what you have.
  • Select Air Fry and select 15 minutes of cook time at 395 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Depending on your Air Fryer, it will beep half-way so you can toss your carrots.
  • Once fully cooked, your air fryer beeps. Remove the air-fried carrots from the basket and place them on a plate with some aluminum foil loosely covering it otherwise the steam will remove the crunch from your vegetable.
  • Repeat with the other half of the batch.
  • In the meantime, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and siracha. Set aside.
  • All your carrots fries are ready, serve immediately with your dip.

Notes

Why are my fries not crispy?
Ah! Two things you need to do to make sure to get a little crunch (it will not be like regular potato fries):
Pat dry your carrots prior to adding the spices. It is optional as it is not as high in water content as a zucchini would be.
Make 2 batches: ideally, you don't want to have too many carrots on top of each other. It promotes moisture when piled on each other.
