For the Crust

  • a little less than 1/2  cup  butter softened (cut in cube packed) or 100g
  • 1 and 1/3  cup  flour  or 200g
  • 60 ml water (room temperature)
  • 1 pinch salt

For the filling

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp jam of your choice
  • 3 apples


For the crust

  • Mix the butter, the flour and salt together until it is crumbly.
  • Add the water at once and mix gently to form a ball of dough.
  • Don’t over-work it, just enough so all the crumbs are all picked up.
  • You are done! It is ready to be rolled!

For the filling

  • Once your crust is set in your small molds, take the jam and spread a tablespoon in it.
  • Peel your apples, cut them into very thin slices and place them in the mold to look like a rose.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 380F.
