Ingredients
For the meat
1tbspolive oil
1shallotminced
4garlic clovesminced
2tbspgreen onion
600gground beef
Salt to taste
For the mashed potatoes
4cupsboiled potatoes
1/2cupmilk
1tbspbutter
Salt to taste
1 to 2cup(s)grated cheddar
Instructions
For the meat
In a hot pan, pour the olive oil, the shallot, garlic and onion. Let it become golden. Add the ground beef and crumble it as it cooks until there is no more pink. Salt to taste.
Set aside.
For the mashed potatoes
In a bowl, put the warm boiled potatoes, the milk and the butter. Mash with a potato masher. Add salt to taste.
In an oven dish, make a layer with half of the mashed potatoes. Make another layer with the ground beef and finally cover with the rest of the mashed potatoes.
Spread the grated cheddar on top.
Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 375F or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
